These are turbulent times in the Dutch real estate sector. The market perspective is challenging, to say the least. In addition, building owners and managers are faced with increasingly stringent legal obligations in the field of Environment, Social & Governance (ESG). To get the built environment 'Paris-proof' in time and to live up to ambitions, there is clearly work to be done! And to the office, university building or home, for that matter. An ideal opportunity for graduates and young professionals to get to work and make a real impact on the sustainability of our living and working environment.

In this lecture, energy and real estate professionals Wesley van den Broek and Freek Langeraap of SGS Search take you through the opportunities and challenges of making our existing built environment more sustainable. On the basis of practical examples and experience, they explain why it is precisely making real estate more sustainable that has so much impact. And more importantly, what we can already do concretely around themes such as energy savings and biodiversity.
