Your academic advisor is here to help with practical issues regarding your study. On top of that he/she is very much willing to listen and think along about personal problems which may be directly/indirectly impacting your study progress. If you would rather talk to a student, you could reach out to the student supporters. They are a confidential low threshold point of contact who can help you to find suitable professional help.
